Medical Missions

Medical Missions

Mission trips sponsored by organizations such as the US Army, SEE International, and others, provide much-needed services in areas where blindness from cataracts and retina disease are common. The surgeons at Star Retina are honored to help provide sight-saving surgeries to Adults and Children in regions where blindness is most prevalent. Star Retina surgeons have participated in medical mission projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Malawi, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Honduras. Not only do these volunteer efforts help cure blindness for numerous people, it also prevents additional burdens from being placed on these communities by reducing special care required by family members. Dr. Crawford and Dr. Chaulk are honored to have been able to participate in this noble endeavor.
